Choose your Goal of the Month for November

07 December 2011 17:34
The voting poll has started for you to choose the November Goal of the Month and there are a total of eleven goals to choose from in games against Leicester City, Bristol City, Leeds United, Birmingham City, Hull City and Ipswich Town. Ross Wallace - October winner

The first four goals of the month came with one each in the first four games, all of which were lost. Ross Wallace got the headed goal against Leicester City at home on the first day of the month in a game we lost 3-1.

It was the same scoreline four days later at Bristol City with Wallace again the scorer and a week after that Jay Rodriguez gave us the lead at home to Leeds before we went on to lose 2-1.

Another 2-1 defeat at Birmingham saw Marvin Bartley score but then, the next seven goals all came in wins. The first two were David Edgar's first two in Burnley colours as he converted twice from close range to bring Burnley level at Hull.

Jay got his second goal of the month with the late, late winner at the KC and he was also on the mark again three days later, finishing from just outside the box to complete the scoring at home as we beat Ipswich 4-0.

By then, Sam Vokes had headed home for his first goal for the club and captain Chris McCann had scored twice, the first from close range and then having been played in by Rodriguez.

The voting for these goals started today and will run until the end of Friday. The poll can be found on the front page of the site or on the VOTING POLLS page.

The winner will automatically join the previous monthly winners in the end of season Goal of the Season vote. These are Charlie Austin (August v Burton), Andre Amougou (September v MK Franchise) and Ross Wallace (October v Blackpool).
