Carlisle: Wolves changes immaterial

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy made 10 changes for Tuesday's Premier League trip at Manchester United in order to rest players ahead of Sunday's clash with the Clarets.[LNB]Burnley's players, by contrast, will travel to Molineux on the back of the draining 1-1 draw they played out with Arsenal at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.[LNB]McCarthy has been widely criticised for his attitude but Carlisle does not think Wolves will have an unfair advantage this weekend.[LNB]The 30-year-old said: "It happens often, maybe one team will have a midweek game and another team will only play Saturday to Saturday. It is immaterial to us.[LNB]"It's each manager to their own. Every manager has their own thoughts and opinions on how a team or squad should be worked and who am I to judge?"[LNB]Wednesday's spirited performance in a pulsating affair maintained Burnley's impressive home record.[LNB]Owen Coyle's men have collected 18 of their 19 points this season at Turf Moor.[LNB]Burnley had looked in trouble after Cesc Fabregas opened the scoring with seven minutes gone and Andrey Arshavin then hit the post, but the home side weathered the storm.[LNB]Veteran Graham Alexander levelled with a penalty, his 100th league goal, and both sides then had several chances to claim a winner.[LNB]Chris Eagles had the hosts' best effort with a fierce drive against the post in the second half.[LNB]Carlisle said: "It is a fantastic confidence builder and fully justifies what we are doing week in, week out.[LNB]"If we can maintain that belief we can take the game to Wolves and go from there."[LNB]Carlisle put the performance down to a strong team spirit and a determination not to let Arsenal settle.[LNB]The former Watford player said: "They have world-class players but no matter how world-class a player is, he doesn't want to play with someone right up tight behind him, kicking at his ankles.[LNB]"The gaffer has coached us all week about getting close to players and not giving them any space to play.[LNB]"Both teams played quite a similar way, attacking going forward at pace and it made for almost a five-a-side style of game.[LNB]"It was almost you attack, we attack, which was very hectic as a defender.[LNB]"I believe we have the quality to take advantage of those situations and I thought we fully merited a point."[LNB]Burnley have not won in six games but Carlisle insists spirits have not dipped since stunning early victories over Manchester United and Everton.[LNB]Carlisle feels he is a member of a secure team that works hard for each other.[LNB]He said: "Individual errors are made on a weekly basis by people, it could be any member of the team.[LNB]"They are never intended but as a unit you need to make sure you rally round the individual.[LNB]"I have ultimate faith and confidence in the team. I know if I make a mistake one of them will be around to sweep it up.[LNB]"I hope they feel the same about me."[LNB][LNB] Wolves Evens, Draw 12/5, Burnley 14/5
