Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle is delighted to be playing in front of a "vociferous" Turf Moor crowd in this weekend`s npower Championship opener against Nottingham Forest.
The Clarets are gearing up for a promotion push after last year`s relegation from the Barclays Premier League and Carlisle is confident they can make home advantage pay.
He told Press Association Sport: "It`s always nice to be at home at any stage of the season, especially on the opening day.
"Our support here is nothing short of vociferous and our fans are outstanding.
"They spur us on and Turf Moor is always a good place to be."
