Carlisle gutted by Clarets ban
urnley defender Clarke Carlisle is devastated to be starting a three-match suspension this weekend after establishing himself in the team.[LNB] Carlisle begins the ban at Sheffield United this weekend following his red card in the recent 1-1 draw at Millwall.[LNB]The Clarets centre-back admits his controversial dismissal was a bitter pill to swallow and will now watch with interest as to how the team fares in his absence.[LNB]"It was a bitter pill to swallow because I feel I have got back into the side and done well," Carlisle told Clarets Player.[LNB]"I've enjoyed playing alongside Andre (Bikey) and I've just got to hope that whoever steps in does just enough and not enough to displace me.[LNB]"But I will be watching and hoping the guys do a fantastic job. I have supreme confidence that whoever plays in those positions will do a great job."
