Departing Burnley defender Steven Caldwell had a special message of thanks to the club's physiotherapists Andy Mitchell and Luke Bussey. [LNB] After starting 57 matches in the Clarets promotion-winning season of 2008/9 - when they also reached the semi-finals of the Carling Cup - the 29-year-old Scot was restricted to just 12 starts in the Barclays Premier League because of a pelvic injury.[LNB]But despite that Caldwell believes had it not been for the Clarets' medical staff he could have been looking at retiring earlier than he intends to as he looks for a new club after being told he will not be offered a new contract at Turf Moor this summer.[LNB]"I have a lot to thank them for. They have probably put a few years on my career," he said.[LNB]
