urnley captain Steven Caldwell admits he is likely to be leaving the relegated Premier League club this summer.[LNB] The 29-year-old, who led the Clarets to promotion to the top flight last year, is out of contract at the end of the current campaign.[LNB]Caldwell has played just twice since December due to injury and has had no discussions with manager Brian Laws over a new deal.[LNB]The Scot told the club's website: "I am open to discussion.[LNB]"I like being where people want me - I'm not saying the manager doesn't, I just don't know. I haven't had any discussions.[LNB]"I'm willing to speak to anyone at any time, but obviously I have had no discussions so far so it seems I will probably be leaving.[LNB]"It's one of these things. Sometimes things change in football, people move on, clubs change. It is nobody's fault, it is a way of life."[LNB]Caldwell joined Burnley, then managed by Steve Cotterill, from Sunderland in a £200,000 deal in January 2007.[LNB]He then went on to play a key role in their subsequent success under Owen Coyle and although this season has proved a difficult experience, he is proud of the club's achievements.[LNB]Caldwell added: "If I am totally honest, as I was coming in to Burnley to speak to Steve I was very unsure about what I was doing.[LNB]"It happened so quickly and I was thinking do I want to come here.[LNB]"Basically the way Steve spoke convinced me something was happening here, something special was on the go.[LNB]"I believed him and I am so pleased that I did because it has been the best three-and-a-half years of my career."
