Burnley's Lazaar cleared to play

Highly-rated Belgium youth international Mehdi Lazaar has been cleared to play for Burnley by the Football Association.The 17-year-old, whose father played for Morocco, signed a two-year scholarship deal in January but has been waiting for clearance. He played for Ghent, Standard Liege and Royal Racing FC Montegnee in Belgium. Manchester City offered the young striker a deal a year ago but were unable to agree a fee with Montegnee.
