Burnley v Reading preview
Team news for Burnley's Championship clash with Reading at Turf Moor on Saturday. Burnley boss Brian Laws could be boosted by the return of defender Danny Fox. The left-back missed Tuesday's 3-0 home win over Barnsley with a thigh strain and Brian Easton deputised with a fine performance. Yet Laws said: "We are hoping that Danny Fox is available for us. He has progressed really well. "We are certainly expecting him to be involved in the squad, which will be good news for everybody. Other than that it's the same as." Defender Clarke Carlisle serves the final game of a three-match ban and midfielder Chris McCann is a long-term injury absentee. Laws will be reluctant to change his team and admitted: "It gives me a little bit of a headache because we've got good players here and they all want to play." Reading boss Brian McDermott has no fresh injury concerns. McDermott saw his side lose their second successive game without scoring at Bristol City in midweek and may make changes as he looks to return to winning ways. Midfielder Brian Howard is pushing for a recall after coming on as a substitute at Ashton Gate. Left-back Chris Armstrong has been playing in the centre of midfield since returning from a knee operation but could stand down. Icelandic midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson will again miss out through a hamstring injury but former Coventry midfielder Jay Tabb is available for selection after recovering from the foot injury which has restricted him to just 151 minutes of first team football for the Royals this season. Strikers Shane Long, Noel Hunt and Simon Church have contributed just two league goals between them so far and McDermott will be looking for more against the Clarets - who could have former Royal Andre Bikey in their side.
