Clarets will assess Ings
Danny Ings gave Burnley a major scare when he came off injured on Wednesday, but boss Sean Dyche has not ruled the 25-goal striker out of this weekend's clash with Leeds.
The England Under-21 international has played in all but one of the Clarets' fixtures this season and his efforts in spearheading their promotion charge earned him a nomination for Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year on Thursday.
However, after coming off in the latter stages of Wednesday's 3-3 draw at Birmingham, Ings was held out of training on Thursday with an ankle injury with Dyche keen to assess the swelling on the Friday before Leeds' visit 24 hours later.
Should Ings miss out, it could mean a first ever Burnley start for January signing Ashley Barnes, whose 10 appearances have all come from the bench.
Leeds winger Jimmy Kebe is not expected to shake off illness in time.
Kebe, signed on loan until the end of the season from Crystal Palace, missed the midweek defeat to Reading and is unlikely to be included in the squad.
McDermott made five changes for his side's latest setback on Tuesday night, with defenders Stephen Warnock, Lee Peltier and Scott Wootton, plus Kebe and fellow winger Cameron Stewart all left out of the starting line-up.
The Leeds boss has no other injury or suspension problems, but places are again up for grabs as McDermott's side chase their first league win in six matches.
