Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur Live

Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur meet in this end of season Premier League clash with both clubs going through mixed emotions this term. The Clarets have suffered relegation back to the Championship after winning promotion via the play-offs last summer, while Spurs, on the back of their fantastic 1-0 away day win at Manchester City on Wednesday night, have secured Champions League football next season for the first time in their history. Peter Crouch's late header ensured they would progress ahead of City as they clinched that crucial fourth qualifying spot. So the trip north for Spurs' fans will be something of a celebration on Sunday but, on the contrary, the Clarets will be ruing their dismal campaign as they prepare for a term in the second tier once again. Since Burnley beat Hull City 2-0 on October 31, they have managed to collect just two further wins from 26 fixtures. Spurs, on the other hand, have lost twice in 11 to aid their lofty position. Four wins - against Arsenal, Chelsea, Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City - from their previous five games has seen them keep clear of the chasing pack. A 3-1 defeat at Manchester United has blotted their copybook of recent times but Harry Redknapp's men have done enough to seal the deal they set out to do this term. Brian Laws must do without long-term knee victim Chris McCann for the final game of an unsuccessful season while Clarke Carlisle (ankle) could make a return to the action. Redknapp could ring the changes with his side's position confirmed but Niko Kranjcar (ankle), Jonathan Woodgate (groin) and Carlo Cudicini (wrist) are ruled out of contention. Back in September, Burnley endured a capital horror show as a rampant Robbie Keane chipped in with four goals as Spurs cantered to a 5-0 success at White Hart Lane. The Republic of Ireland international opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Jermaine Jenas fired in from 20 yards to open up a 2-0 advantage at half-time. Burnley seemed to have stemmed the flow but a quick-fire double in the 74th and 77th minutes brought up his hat-trick and he inflicted a further blow by grabbing his fourth just three minutes from time.
