Clarets to make Mee check

Burnley boss Sean Dyche could have the luxury of a fully-fit squad as Sheffield Wednesday head to Turf Moor in the Sky Bet Championship.

The only real concern for the Clarets boss is full-back Ben Mee, who has been troubled by a thigh problem of late, but Dyche is confident on his availability.

There may also be a long-awaited return for winger Ross Wallace, who has been missing since mid-August because of a knee injury, while another wide-man, loanee Michael Kightly, has shrugged off a knee issue of his own.

Recent signing Ashley Barnes came off the bench with two minutes to go against Yeovil last time out, but his full debut may have to wait given the scintillating form of top scorer Danny Ings and strike-partner Sam Vokes, who have scored 33 times between them.

Wednesday's latest signing Oguchi Onyewu is hoping to make his debut for the club.

The USA international defender joined the Owls last week but was ineligible for the FA Cup replay win against Macclesfield on Tuesday night.

Connor Wickham is expected to return to the starting line-up - he does not have permission from parent club Sunderland to play in the FA Cup - and fellow striker Caolan Lavery will also return to the squad as he too was ineligible.

Chris Kirkland will be back in goal in place of on-loan Damian Martinez, while Michail Antonio, Giles Coke (both hamstring), Lewis Buxton (groin), Kamil Zayatte, Martin Taylor (both ankle) and Anthony Gardner (Achilles) are still out.
