Burnley set to name same side for third straight game

Burnley could be unchanged for a third straight game against MK Dons at Turf Moor.

The Clarets have won three on the spin and boss Sean Dyche has often favoured consistency with his starting line-up, although Matthew Taylor's goal-scoring contribution from the bench - his second of the season - will have strengthened his case to be preferred to Michael Kightly.

Full-back Matt Lowton, now fully fit following a shin problem, is still waiting to make his first Burnley appearance since signing from Aston Villa but midfielder Joey Barton needs to be in better condition before he can be considered.

Lukas Jutkiewicz, Dean Marney, Kevin Long and Ashley Barnes all have cruciate ligament problems while Jason Gilchrist (ankle), Daniel Lafferty (collarbone) and Fredrik Ulvestad (ankle) are also out.

Karl Robinson admits he has some injury concerns for the trip to east Lancashire.

However, the 35-year-old kept his cards close to his chest and did not reveal the names of those he had worries over.

The Dons are already beset by injuries, with Ben Reeves (hamstring), Joe Walsh, Mark Randall, Dale Jennings, Darren Potter and Cody Cropper (all knee) on the sidelines.

Robinson also revealed he has offered a deal to free-agent striker Nicky Maynard, who had been training with Burnley's bitter rivals Blackburn.
