Burnley v Liverpool Live

Burnley will hope to rekindle their fading hopes of avoiding relegation to the Championship with a victory over a recently-improved Liverpool side at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon. The Clarets proved a tough side to defeat at Turf Moor earlier this season, with victories over Manchester United and Everton and a draw with Arsenal, but their recent form in front of their home support has been woeful - they've picked up just one point from their last 15 available. Despite this, Brian Laws' side have only failed to find the net in one of their 17 league games at Turf Moor so far this term. Liverpool have been as equally poor away from home of late; failing to win any of their last seven games in the Premier League. Rafa Benitez's outfit have scored only two goals in their last six away league games and without Fernando Torres - who is out for the remainder of the season following knee surgery - their attacking qualities have been seriously weakened. The Reds enjoyed a great 4-0 win over Burnley earlier this season at Anfield with Yossi Benayoun scoring a 55 minute hat-trick. However, the Clarets will be buoyed by the fact that Liverpool have won just one of their nine trips to play them in all competitions. As well as Torres, Liverpool will be missing two other players for definite in Emiliano Insua and Martin Kelly, while Martin Skrtel could return to the squad. Burnley don't have any fresh injury concerns, but Kevin McDonald is expected to miss out again after he breached club discipline in their recent 6-1 defeat to Manchester City at Turf Moor.
