Clarets duo battling to be fit

Burnley midfielders David Jones and Dean Marney face a race against time to be fit when Charlton visit Turf Moor.

The Clarets, currently second in the Sky Bet Championship table and unbeaten at home since March, were missing Jones in the midweek Capital One Cup win over Nottingham Forest after he received a nasty cut on his ankle against Leeds.

Marney hobbled off against Forest with a calf injury, the victim of a number of strong challenges from the visitors, and boss Sean Dyche will give both central midfielders a chance to prove their fitness.

Ross Wallace (knee) is still out but fellow wingers Michael Kightly and Scott Arfield should return to the starting XI while centre-back Michael Duff is in line to make his 300th Burnley appearance.

Charlton will check on striker Yann Kermorgant who is still receiving treatment on the ankle injury which has kept him out of the last two matches.

Boss Chris Powell handed a full league debut to teenage forward Joe Pigott against Millwall last Saturday but he struggled to make an impact in the 1-0 derby defeat so Marvin Sordell could earn a recall if Kermorgant is ruled out again.

Defenders Chris Solly (knee) and Leon Cort are still missing with knocks.
