Team news ahead of Tuesday night's Carling Cup first-round clash between Burnley and Burton Albion at Turf Moor.[LNB] Burnley boss Eddie Howe will be without striker Martin Paterson and winger Keith Treacy.[LNB]Paterson would have missed the game against the Brewers due to his Northern Ireland call-up for Wednesday's European Championship qualifier against the Faroe Islands.[LNB]However, he succumbed to injury in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Watford after complaining of a niggle.[LNB]Paterson is set for a spell on the sidelines, so Charlie Austin, who replaced the Ulsterman at half-time against the Hornets, should land a starting role.[LNB]Winger Treacy, who scored a point-saving equaliser against the Hornets, will also miss out as he is in the Republic of Ireland squad to face Croatia in Dublin.[LNB]Burton will be without Tom Parkes when they travel to Burnley.[LNB]The on-loan Leicester defender was sent off for two bookable offences as Albion began their League Two campaign with a 2-2 draw at last season's play-off finalists Torquay on Saturday.[LNB]Parkes will serve a one-match suspension but boss Paul Peschisolido is confident he has enough central defensive cover at his disposal.[LNB]"We've got a good set of lads at the club," said the Canadian. "We've got Tony James and Ryan Austin, and Darren Moore is coming back to fitness, so we'll be alright."[LNB]Midfielder Jimmy Phillips and striker Greg Pearson will hope for starts after having to settle for substitute roles at the weekend.
