Burnley v Blackburn Rovers Live

Burnley and Blackburn Rovers will lock horns in a north-west derby clash at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon. The fierce rivalry between the two clubs is set to recommence with both going through mixed fortunes in this season's edition of the Premier League. Brian Laws' Clarets are locked inside the relegation zone after a dismal run of results has seen them plummet down the table in recent times. Just one win in 20 league fixtures has resulted in a swift drop and they are three points adrift of West Ham United, who occupy 17th position, the final place outside the bottom three. Sam Allardyce's Rovers have found home comforts this season, collecting nine wins, five draws and just two defeats but it their away record that has hindered their progress. They have won just one of their previous 20 fixtures on the road, picking up just six points this term, and with Burnley's home record keeping their heads above water for much of the campaign, they must take advantage of their rivals' away-day woes. Blackburn grabbed an epic 3-2 victory against Burnley at Ewood Park back in October, despite Robbie Blake striking an early blow for the visitors. His effort was soon cancelled out as David Dunn netted in the ninth minute. Franco Di Santo and Pascal Chimbonda then handed Rovers a healthy first-half advantage and although Chris Eagles scored deep into injury time at the end of the match, it proved too little too late for Burnley. Blackburn may welcome Gael Givet back into the first-team fold as he nears full-fitness from his groin strain. Goalkeeper Paul Robinson (calf) and Lars Jacobsen (groin) could make a return in the middle of April. Daniel Fox (rib) and Steven Caldwell (groin) are pushing for a recall, but Chris McCann (knee) is still out injured for the hosts.
