Burnley turn down Nugent offer

Burnley have been offered David Nugent on a permanent basis but turned it down when the offer meant an exchange with one of our established first team players moving to Fratton Park. Nugent spent most of last season on loan at Turf Moor but returned to Portsmouth in the summer where he's been back in the first team under new manager Steve Cotterill. However, Cotterill was happy to sell the former Bury and Preston striker to try and land one of Burnley's players, but the Clarets quickly turned it down.
