[LNB]Clarets boss Brian Laws told the club website: "I am delighted to bring Chris to Burnley and I think he is going to be a fantastic addition. [LNB]"Chris is not a gamble. He is proven in the Championship. He is a winner and we want winners at this club." [LNB]He added: "He has averaged about 15 goals a season, which tells you he can play. [LNB]"His link-up play and knowledge of the game are great and he will be fantastic for the dressing room." [LNB]Iwelumo joined Wolves from Charlton in July 2008, scoring 14 times as Mick McCarthy's side won the Championship in his first season at Molineux.[LNB] Give your reaction to Iwelumo's move But, after seeing his preparation for the Premier League hampered by a broken foot, he was restricted to just 15 top-flight appearances, including only two starts. [LNB]"I've always described Lumes as a 'proper bloke'," said McCarthy, "someone who puts himself about and gives everything for the cause with no fuss or complaint and is also an excellent influence in the dressing room. [LNB]"He's also proved himself to be a very good player with us and his goals played a major part in helping the team win the Championship title. [LNB]"He suffered from injury problems last season but whenever he featured never gave less than 100% and again played his part in the club securing Premier League status. [LNB]"At this age he wants to be playing regular football which is something that might have been difficult with us next season."
