Burnley land Hull's Stewart on loan

Eddie Howe has swooped on transfer deadline day to bring in Hull City's Cameron Stewart on loan until January.

The 21-year-old Stewart joined Hull initially, from his first club Manchester United on an emergency loan in November 2010, a loan that was then extended until the end of the 2010/11 season.

On the last day of January 2011 he signed a three year deal with Hull but he missed our game there in 2010/11 because of a serious knee injury which kept him out for nine months.

He did play in both games against us last season, being substituted in both. Stewart was the player substituted at the KC with 13 minutes remaining and Hull leading 2-0.

He's played three times for Hull this season; in both Capital One Cup ties against Doncaster and Rotherham and also in the league win against Brighton on the opening day of the season. He was an unused substitute in the two following league games against Blackburn and Charlton.

Although he didn't play in the United first team, prior to his move to Hull, he also enjoyed a loan at Yeovil in 2010, making five appearances for the Glovers. He's also been capped by England at under-17, under-19 and under-20 level.

Stewart goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's game against Brighton.
