Burnley in Harewood link

Striker Marlon Harewood has been released by relegated Blackpool and has been made an offer by Burnley according to sources on the Fylde Coast. Harewood was quickly offered a deal by Notts County on news of his release but the Blackpool media are suggesting that he's received offers from two Championship clubs including us with the Clarets having offered the 31-year-old a two year deal. His agent, former Port Vale player Phil Sproson, said: "Marlon has spoken to Notts County. However, he also has had two offers of two-year-deals from two Championship clubs. "A number of other sides are also keen on Marlon and he is keeping his options open. We will consider all offers and hopefully Marlon will have his future resolved soon." Harewood joined Blackpool last season and scored twice in their sensational 4-0 win at Wigan on the opening day of the Premier League. He fell out of favour and then moved to Barnsley on loan in February just days after his last Premier League outing. Millwall are also believed to be keen to take the striker, more so with the imminent sale of Steve Morison, whilst Barnsley can't be discounted despite their change of manager.
