Burnley are fighting Bolton over compensation

19 September 2010 08:47
Burnley are playing Bolton Wanderers in two days time in the Carling Cup, with all that tie entails because of the management team at the Horwich based club. Phil Hughes - left Turf Moor in JanuaryBut it is revealed this morning, exclusively of course by the man who seems to know when the Bolton manager even sneezes, that the two clubs are locked in a bitter dispute over compensation for the backroom team who simply walked out of Turf Moor in January this year.Assistant manager Sandy Stewart, reserve team coach John Henry, chief scout Cliff Roberts, goalkeeper coach, the now almost redundant, Phil Hughes, kit manager Tony McGrory and of course first team coach Steve Davis who left with the hairs on the back of his neck standing up because of his passionate LOVE for Burnley Football Club. The two clubs can't agree on the amount of compensation and it is claimed that relations between the two clubs are strained. I don't think suggesting things are strained is telling us anything we don't know given the way Bolton and our former manager behaved at the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010.It all adds nicely to the fuel ahead of Tuesday's clash - well done to Nixon and his advisor.
