Boss Laws keen to tie down McCann

urnley boss Brian Laws has confirmed the club are set to offer midfielder Chris McCann a new contract at Turf Moor.[LNB] The 22-year-old's current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and the club are keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal.[LNB]Laws is a big admirer of McCann and has made his contract situation one of his top priorities.[LNB]"Once we get this pre-season underway that is one of the first things we will be doing and Chris knows that," said Laws.[LNB]"I have spoken to Chris about it, even at the end of last season, and told him that we would be addressing his contract situation because we want him here for the long term.[LNB]"He is a great asset to this football club so we are not going to mess around.[LNB]"We are going to get into that as quickly as we can."
