Bikey wins the Forest points

Chris Iwelumo scored Burnley's winner against Nottingham Forest on Saturday but it was still a surprise when he was announced as the man of the match on a day when Andre Bikey turned in an outstanding performance at the back. It was an excellent debut for Iwelumo, and any striker would want to score in his first outing for a new club, but the new look Bikey was imperious from start to finish as the Clarets kept a clean sheet against the side that finished third in the Championship last season. That performance was reflected in both the man of the match vote here and on the player ratings on the message board, as the search begins for the Clarets Mad Player of the Year for 2010/11.Bikey was a convincing winner in both and polled no less than 74.6% of the vote for the man of the match, a percentage that was only beaten twice during last season - Brian Jensen (86.8% v Chelsea away) and Martin Paterson (83.5% v Portsmouth home).Goalscorer Chris Iwelumo took second place with 8.1% whilst 5.1% of the vote was enough to give Wade Elliott, who provided the cross for the goal, third place. It was a comfortable win in the player ratings too for the former Reading player. He scored a rating of 8.45 out of 10 with Iwelumo again in second place with a rating of 7.45. Just behind Iwelumo in third place was Clarke Carlisle and his rating was 7.43 out of 10. He came on as a substitute for Michael Duff on the half hour and played really well alongside Bikey.Bikey then is the first leader in the table for the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with the following points having been allocated from the Forest game.6: Andre BIkey4: Chris Iwelumo1: Clarke Carlisle, Wade Elliott
