Beast Leeds the way

There was only one winner in our last away game at Leeds; only one player who could come off the pitch at the end of the dismal 1-0 defeat with any credit, and that was goalkeeper Brian Jensen. The Beast had his best game since coming back into the side at Leicester a few weeks ago. He kept the score down with a number of saves and it cannot come as a surprise to anyone that he's walked away with the man of the match and the player ratings.'Walked away' is exactly the right phrase. In the man of the match he polled no less than 78.9% of the vote to take first place. Such was his dominance that Jack Cork, who was second, polled just 6.2% and Danny Fox, with 4.0% of the vote, took third place. The gap between Jensen and the rest was equally evident in the player ratings. No other player reached the average rating of 6 whilst Jensen won it with a rating of 8.38 out of 10. The two full backs followed him. Fox was second with a rating of 5.81 with Mears in third place; his rating was 5.50 out of 10.That gives Jensen the maximum 6 points towards the Player of the Year. Fox wins three points, Cork two points and Mears one point. The last man of the match vote will get underway shortly after the end of the game tomorrow against Cardiff City. The results from the Leeds game and the player of the year table are below.Man of the Match78.9% - Brian Jensen6.2% - Jack Cork4.0% - Danny Fox3.2% - Chris Eagles2.0% - Michael Duff1.7% - Wade Elliott1.3% - Chris McCann0.7% - Chris Iwelumo & Jay Rodriguez0.5% - Andre Bikey & Tyrone Mears0.3% - Nathan DelfounesoPlayer Ratings8.38 - Brian Jensen5.81 - Danny Fox5.50 - Tyrone Mears5.46 - Chris Eagles5.27 - Jack Cork4.92 - Michael Duff4.88 - Chris Iwelumo4.85 - Wade Elliott4.50 - Nathan Delfouneso4.46 - Jay Rodriguez4.42 - Andre Bikey4.35 - Chris McCannClarets Mad Player of the Year Table110: Jack Cork83: Chris Eagles55: Jay Rodriguez47: Andre Bikey43: Tyrone Mears36: Wade Elliott32: Lee Grant31: Clarke Carlisle30: Dean Marney28: Danny Fox26: Michael Duff & Brian Jensen19: Ross Wallace14: Chris Iwelumo10: Marvin Bartley9: Brian Easton6: Martin Paterson5: Nathan Delfouneso3: Leon Cort, John Guidetti, Chris McCann & Steven Thompson1: Graham Alexander & Charlie Austin
