Barnsley v Burnley preview

Team news for Tuesday night's Championship clash between Barnsley and Burnley at Oakwell.[LNB] Barnsley defenders Bobby Hassell and Jay McEveley have been ruled out of the home game with Burnley.[LNB]Hassell was forced out of Saturday's defeat at Portsmouth with a recurrence of his groin injury and McEveley hobbled off late on with an unspecified problem, leaving the Tykes to finish the game with 10 men.[LNB]Manager Keith Hill told reporters: "We really are down to the bare bones and it's probably a worse situation than we were in a week ago."[LNB]Hill is still without midfielders David Perkins, Matt Done (both hamstring), Reuben Noble-Lazarus (ankle) and Goran Lovre (knee), striker Danny Haynes (hamstring) and defender Luke Potter (knee).[LNB]But defender Rob Edwards is expected to play some part after his long-term hamstring injury and striker Craig Davies, used as a late substitute in his first match since late August at Portsmouth following a groin problem, could play a bigger role for Hill's side.[LNB]Burnley manager Eddie Howe will pick from the same squad for the visit to Barnsley.[LNB]The Clarets were beaten in the ninth minute of injury time of Saturday's clash with Reading at Turf Moor and Howe will give the same players a chance to bounce back.[LNB]Winger Keith Treacy will be hoping to earn a start after coming off the bench to play the final 35 minutes against the Royals and he will battle with Junior Stanislas for a start.[LNB]Striker Martin Paterson and defender Michael Duff have returned to training following respective thigh and knee injuries, but they are not yet in a position to be considered for selection.[LNB]The road to recovery is a longer one for goalkeeper Brian Jensen (groin) and attacker Danny Ings (knee), though, and they are still some way away from fitness.
