Bamford looks set for a Bridge recall

It looks increasingly likely Patrick Bamford's season long deal at Turf Moor is nearing its end. The player has made just five appearances for the Clarets in the Premier League this season, all coming as late substitutions.

Chelsea have expressed their dissatisfaction with the arrangement and are thought to be considering recalling the 23-year-old striker in readiness for yet another loan spell away from Stamford Bridge.

Middlesbrough gaffer Aitor Karanka has indicated an interest in taking Bamford back to the Riverside Stadium where the player enjoyed a successful loan period with the Teesside outfit in the Championship two seasons ago.

Middlesbrough are keen on increasing their firepower and are looking to offload ex-Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes, who interestingly has been linked to a move to Turf Moor.

Another ex-Ewood favourite Rudy Gestede looks all set to make a big money transfer to the Smoggies from Villa Park, terms have apparently already been agreed. Rhodes out, Gestede and Bamford in, when the music stops which striker will be left without a chair? (TEC).
