Back to The Den for Burnley

Having beaten Swindon Town at Wembley in this afternoon's play off final, Millwall return to the Championship after an absence of four years, joining Norwich and Leeds who both went up automatically. Millwall were 1-0 winners against Swindon in this afternoon's Wembley final, and with just the League Two final remaining, we now know which 24 clubs will be competing in the 2010/11 Championship. Those three - Norwich, Leeds and Millwall - have replaced relegated Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth and Peterborough, and at the other end of the table we've seen promoted Newcastle, West Brom and Blackpool replaced by Burnley, Hull and Portsmouth who come down from the Premier League.Below are Burnley's most recent league results against each of the clubs we'll play next season. If we were to get the same results next time round it would leave us with 72 points and that would be very close to a play off position.Barnsley - 2008/09Home: Lost 2-1 (Chris McCann)Away: Lost 3-2 (Martin Paterson 2)Bristol City - 2008/09Home: Won 4-0 (Wade Elliott, Graham Alexander (2pens), Joey Gudjonsson)Away: Won 2-1 (Martin Paterson, Steven Thompson)Cardiff City - 2008/09Home: Drew 2-2 (Robbie Blake, Steven Thompson)Away: Lost 3-1 (Robbie Blake)Coventry City - 2008/09Home: Drew 1-1 (Chris Eagles)Away: Won 3-1 (Michael Duff, Robbie Blake, Chris Eagles)Crystal Palace - 2008/09Home: Won 4-2 (Clarke Carlisle, Graham Alexander(pen), Steven Thompson, Jay Rodriguez)Away: Drew 0-0Derby County - 2008/09Home: Won 3-0 (Kevin McDonald, Martin Paterson(2))Away: Drew 1-1 (Chris McCann)Doncaster Rovers - 2008/09Home: Drew 0-0Away: Lost 2-1 (Martin Paterson)Hull City - 2009/10Home: Won 2-0 (Graham Alexander(2 1pen))Away: Won 4-1 (Martin Paterson, Graham Alexander(2 pens), Wade ElliottIpswich Town - 2008/09Home: Lost 3-0Away: Drew 1-1 (Wade Elliott)Leeds United - 2006/07Home: Won 2-1 (Gifton Noel-Williams, Andy Gray)Away: Lost 1-0Leicester City - 2007/08Home: Drew 1-1 (David Unsworth)Away: Won 1-0 (Andy Gray)Middlesbrough - 1994/95Home: Lost 3-0Away: Lost 2-0Millwall - 2005/06Home: Won 2-1 (Nathan Dyer, Wade Elliott)Away: Lost 1-0Norwich City - 2008/09Home: Won 2-0 (Chris Eagles(2))Away: Drew 1-1 (Steven Thompson)Nottingham Forest - 2008/09Home: Won 5-0 (Robbie Blake, Wade Elliott, Clarke Carlisle, Jay Rodriguez, Joey Gudjonsson)Away: Won 2-1 (Graham Alexander(2 1pen))Portsmouth - 2009/10Home: Lost 2-1 (Martin Paterson)Away: Lost 2-0Preston - 2008/09Home: Won 3-1 (Joey Gudjonsson, Steven Caldwell, Chris Eagles)Away: Lost 2-1 (Robbie Blake)Queens Park Rangers - 2008/09Home: Won 1-0 (Chris Eagles)Away: Won 2-1 (Robbie Blake, Alan Mahon)Reading - 2008/09Home: Won 1-0 (Robbie Blake)Away: Lost 3-1 (Chris McCann)Scunthorpe United - 2007/08Home: Won 2-0 (Robbie Blake, Ade Akinbiyi)Away: Lost 2-0Sheffield United - 2008/09Home: Won 1-0 (Martin Paterson)Away: Won 3-2 (Martin Paterson, Graham Alexander(pen), Chris Eagles)Swansea City - 2008/09Home: Lost 2-0Away: Drew 1-1 (Joey Gudjonsson)Watford - 2008/09Home: Won 3-2 (Graham Alexander(pen), Martin Paterson, Wade Elliott)Away: Lost 3-0
