Back to Barnsley for the cup

02 December 2012 15:30
It's just five days since we were at Oakwell watching the Clarets at Barnsley, but today's FA Cup draw has ensured we must go there again in five weeks time for our third round tie.

FA Cup clashes between the two teams are rare and the only previous clash came in the 1910/11 season when we beat them 2-0 at Turf Moor. More recently we have twice played them in the League Cup.

The first of those League Cup ties was in the 2005/06 season when goals from Keith Lowe, Ade Akinbiyi and John Spicer gave us a 3-0 home win. Four seasons later we were beaten 3-2 at Oakwell when Steven Fletcher and Chris Eagles were on the mark for us.

The tie is expected to be played on Saturday 5th January.
