Anderson follows Love to the Shay

Central defender Tom Anderson just beat the closing of the emergency transfer window today to join his development squad team mate Archie Love in a youth loan move to FC Halifax Town.

Archie has settled in well and has featured in all of Halifax's four games since moving to the Shay in early November and made his first start in the midweek game against Hereford, playing the whole 90 minutes in a 3-2 defeat in which Micah Evans made his Hereford debut.

Anderson isn't new to the Conference. He spent the first half of last season at Barrow, making a total of 19 appearances, and in February signed for Hyde for the rest of the 2012/13 season only for it to be cut short when he suffered a knee ligament injury in his fourth game.

This season he's been playing in the development squad, mainly alongside Alex Coleman, but  now gets the opportunity to play some more first team football with this loan move that runs until January.

He could make a debut at home to Guiseley this Saturday in the FA Trophy and will then be available for at least their next six league games up to the end of 2013.

Tom is now the sixth player we have out on loan. Besides Love and Evans all of Luke O'Neill, Marvin Bartley and George Porter are currently out on loan in the lower divisions of the Football League.
