Burnley have rewarded veteran midfielder Graham Alexander with a new one-year contract.
The 37-year-old Scotland international did not miss a minute of league action last season as the Clarets won promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.
He played over 5,300 minutes of domestic football and was a key figure in their return to the top-flight after an absence of more than 30 years.
"Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce that Graham Alexander has signed a new one-year deal," read a brief club statement.
"The Scottish international has extended his playing days at Turf Moor until the summer of 2010."
Alexander joined the Clarets from local rivals Preston North End in August 2007 but has become a fans' favourite at Turf Moor.
