Alexander awarded Burnley armband

urnley manager Brian Laws has appointed veteran midfielder Graham Alexander as the club's new captain for the new season. The 38-year-old has taken the armband following the departure of former skipper Steven Caldwell at the end of last season. Laws said: "Graham is the consummate professional who has been instrumental in the success that this club has seen in the past few seasons, so it was an easy choice."
