The Clarets currently occupy the final play-off spot in the Championship but cannot afford any slip-ups this weekend as Lancashire rivals Preston, who host QPR, continue to breathe down their necks.[LNB]North End are just two points adrift of Owen Coyle's men following their 2-1 win at Birmingham, meaning the promotion race will go right down to the wire.[LNB]And Alexander told the Lancashire Telegraph: "We were hoping for the right result that got us into the play-offs because I think we deserve it. But we've got to get over that line first.[LNB]"It's either us or them [Preston] with Swansea getting beat [at Sheffield United]. But we'll go into the Bristol game full of confidence and hopefully get the points that we need.[LNB]"It's hard not to think of the play-offs at the moment but we're not there. We've got to concentrate on getting a result against Bristol City."[LNB][LNB]
