The 39-year-old utility player came off the bench to reach the landmark and help the Clarets secure maximum points for the first time in seven games.
He said: "I don't think it's sunk in. It's hard when you're right in the middle of it, but it's a good feeling.
"A lot of people have been talking about it for the last few weeks and I just wanted to get there and do it.
"The response I got from the supporters when I came on and at the end of the game was amazing, and from my team-mates and staff as well; it will live with me for a long time."
