Alex Coleman is latest to go out on loan

Central defender, and development squad captain, Alex Coleman is the latest of the young professionals at Burnley to go out on loan having made the move to Droylsden.

Alex captained the youth team in their FA Youth Cup semi-final last season in the absence, through illness, of Tom Anderson, and won his first professional deal in the summer.

The club have been keen to get him out on loan to give him some competitive football and today he's signed for Blue Square North club Droylsden in a month's deal.

He played at their Butchers Arms ground in pre-season and captained the Burnley teamto the Tony Downes Memorial Trophy in what was a 4-0 win for the young Clarets against Droylsden. He'll hope to be in their side tomorrow for the home game against Solihull Motors.

Coleman becomes the fifth Burnley player to go out on loan. Alex MacDonald is with Plymouth; John Stewart has signed for Alfreton and both Anderson and Joe Jackson are currently with Barrow.
