Alex-Ray Harvey and Dominic Knowles, two of the four development squad players to be offered new contracts, have signed their new one year deals today to remain with the Clarets. Both have been pushing for places in the first team squad recently. Alex has been on loan at Fleetwood and played in their play off semi-final against AFC Wimbledon. They were hammered but Fleetwood boss Micky Mellon described the midfielder as a quality footballer and they were privileged to have him.Meanwhile, Dominic's recent performances in the reserves have earned him a call up to the first team squad and he was named on the bench for the last game of the season against Cardiff.Burnley lad Harvey, and Knowles, from Oswaldtwistle, are now looking to be very much part of Eddie Howe's first team squad next season. The same is likely for Wes Fletcher and Alex MacDonald who have also been offered new deals. Alex is just returning from Scotland having been with Inverness Caledonian Thistle whilst Wes is getting himself fully fit having been struggling with an ankle injury in the latter part of the season. Both are expected to agree their new deals at Burnley.
