Akinbiyi set for Houston talks

Burnley striker Ade Akinbiyi has confirmed that he could be heading to the USA in the summer.

The 34-year-old former Leicester City forward is about to hold talks with Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo and is excited about the prospect.

"Nothing's concrete yet but I've spoken to the manager about it," he said. "We're just going to see what happens.

"It could happen at the end of the season or it could be done now. The season's started over there but there are just talks at the moment.

"If it happens then I'll get the nod from the manager. I'd like to carry on here, but if you're going to be brutally honest the manager's starting to look for something new.

"Obviously he's going to bring in new faces, and if you look at it realistically it would probably be time to say goodbye to the club. I don't know, but that's the way it's looking."
