A Shot at League Two for Glen

It's six years since Glen Little left Burnley for Reading, and after moving from there to Portsmouth and then Sheffield United he's now rejoined his former Reading coach at Aldershot. Glen played against us in the play offs at the end of the 2008/09 season having returned to Reading, from Portsmouth, on loan, but having been released by Pompey he moved to Sheffield United last summer on a one year contract.Released again, he's been training with Aldershot, and yesterday he confirmed that's where he'll be playing his football next season by signing a one year deal for the club managed by former Reading coach Kevin Dillon. On completing the move, Little said: "It was an easy decision to make really. I live locally and originally came down to train with Dill [Dillon] who I knew well from my time at Reading. I have always got on well with him and initially it was just about getting my fitness up and looking to see what was possible from there."Due to Dill being appointed manager at Aldershot I was always looking out for the results last season and I know about the play offs and how close the club were at the end. I know that he wants to do better this time around and this is perfect for me."Dill was a massive factor in me joining the club and I am really looking forward to the challenge. There are not too many experienced players here and if I can help give the younger lads some advice and use my own experience then I will be happy to do that."Dillon was delighted to have captured the former Claret and said: "Since he came in Glen has been terrific. Technically he is an excellent football and I believe that there is more to come from him."He is enthusiastic and his knowledge of the game is extensive and he has an amazing football brain. He is also fanatical about the game. It was a key factor that I know him well and for me this is a major signing for Aldershot Football Club."
