A look around the town of Burnley
Today we launched a new feature on Clarets Mad entitled 'Burnley in Pictures', a feature that we hope will see an ever growing number of photographs of the town that is the home for our football club. It was considered some time ago but has been inspired by recent threads on the message board discussing old postcards of the town, pictures of the old Empire cinema and the goings on in the Summit area of town in the 1950s and 1960s. At the launch there are photographs from the Summit and also a small number taken in the town centre featuring the bus station (shown above), Keirby, police station and town hall. If you have any photographs that you would like to see included then please EMAIL them to us and they will be added to what we hope will be an extensive collection of Burnley photographs.
