Williams still wants Pirates chance
Published : 10 Sep 2009 11:22:50

Williams has struggled to make an impact since joining the Pirates just over two years ago and was sent out on loan to Hereford last season. The 23-year-old has appeared as a substitute four times this season and hopes he can finally kickstart his Rovers career. "Last season didn't work out exactly how I would have planned. I never wanted to go out on loan but I was told to go and get some games and confidence." Williams said. "It didn't quite work out that way and I was disappointed to be put on the transfer list when I came back. I have worked hard over the summer to try and get myself back into the manager's plans. "I'm just going to keep working away to do whatever I can to get myself off the list. The manager has given me a fair crack at things and treated me the same as all the other boys. I hope I'm showing him that I'm responding positively to that at the moment."
