Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope felt the scoreline flattered West Brom after Sunday's 5-1 FA Cup sixth-round defeat to the Championship club.

The League One side were taking part in their first quarter-final for half-a-century and were in the tie for a long spell before finally being swept aside in the last 20 minutes.

"I think the scoreline is a little bit harsh on us at the end," claimed Trollope.

"We had some good spells in the game and some good chances but they had that little bit too much for us in an attacking sense.

"We had a bit of a spell at the end of the first half and at the start of the second half and we needed to score in that spell, but we didn't.

"They caught us on the counter-attack and their finishing was clinical, and that was the difference."
