Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope blamed a host of missed chances for Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Swindon Town.
The Pirates' first defeat in three games ended their hopes of a top half finish and afterwards Trollope pointed the finger of blame at his attacking players.
"As ever, the biggest crime for us was missing chances, because you have to score goals to win games," he told the club's official website.
"It's nothing new, we've said it before, and it's something we've tried to remedy.
"We'll be looking to address the situation in the summer and bring in attacking players with quality and people that can stick the ball in the net under pressure.
"For now though we are what we are and we need to get out of this slump.
"We need to pick ourselves up and bounce back on Saturday and make sure we end our home season on a positive note."
