Trollope regrets red card
03 Sep 2007 - 13:43:54
Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope has apologised after being sent to the stands during his side's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Trollope paid the price for protesting to referee Andy Hall during the Memorial Stadium thriller and spent the second half watching from the stand.
He told the Evening Post: "I went a couple of yards outside the technical area and was sent to the stand, which was disappointing.
"They have changed the rules and you don't get a warning any more, so it was straight off.
"In the heat of the moment these things happen. It won't happen again, it's not something I'm proud of. I was never sent off as a player."
