Trollope named top boss
03 May 2007 - 12:39:26
Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope has been named as the League Two Manager of the Month for April.
The Pirates supremo guided his side to four wins and two draws in the league last month, with Rovers conceding just one goal in those six games.
That run has moved Trollope's side into the play-off places, although they face a tricky trip to Hartlepool United this weekend.
Trollope told the Evening Post: "There is a collective desire and spirit, a resilience to defend properly and to work for one another that has shone through in the last month.
"We feel we've progressed this year and we now have a younger, quicker side with better ability.
"We're the team in form and we've worked very hard to get where we are. We know what the target is and we know what we have to do."
