Trollope happy with Rovers
17 Jul 2007 - 14:53:15
Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope hasn't ruled out making further signings, but doesn't expect much more movement in the transfer market this summer.
Trollope has already lured the likes of former Hereford United striker Andy Williams, Cardiff City defender Joe Jacobson and ex-Notts County utility player David Pipe to the Memorial Stadium and is happy with his squad ahead of the new League One campaign.
"I wouldn't rule out any more signings, but don't be surprised if there aren't any more before the start of the season," he told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, Trollope has hinted trialist Danny Rose could be offered a permanent contract.
He added: "He came highly recommended from Oxford, where he was on loan last season, and we'd also heard good reports about him from Manchester United.
"He's a local lad and we're pleased to have him here. He's shown he's a good athlete and has some good quality on the ball in the first few days, even though the training has been limited.
"As the ball work increases and the games come around then we will be able to make real judgement on him, but he looks good."
