Trollope hails Rovers response

Published: 07 Feb 2010 - 11:31:29

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope hailed his side's goalless draw at Walsall as an impressive response to their 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Leyton Orient.Chances were few and far between at the Banks's Stadium but Rovers wasted a glorious chance to break the deadlock when Stuart Campbell forced a fine save out of Clayton Ince in the Walsall goal."The supporters made a massive difference," said Trollope. "Not many teams would have fans turn up for an away game like that after our two previous poor performances".Trollope, who expects to sign a few players on loan in time for Tuesday's re-arranged clash against Walsall, added: "We deserved that little bit of luck at the end. We didn't deserve to lose the game by any stretch of the imagination."Walsall's goalkeeper was made man of the match, and we felt we were worth a goal or two, but I was pleased with the overall improvement".
