Trollope extends Pirates deal
17 Sep 2009 - 11:42:30
Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope has agreed a new 12-month contract with the League One club.
The Welshman has been in charge of Rovers for just under four years, forming a good partnership with director of football Lennie Lawrence.
Chairman Nick Higgs told the club's official website: "Following a few weeks of negotiations, Paul Trollope and I have agreed a new contract for him with the club.
"We have been extremely pleased with the work he has done at Bristol Rovers, and a new twelve-month rolling contract will give added continuity to both Paul and the club.
"Paul has done an excellent job here and we hope this new contract goes some way to rewarding him for his hard work."
Meanwhile, the Pirates have agreed a deal to sign Charlton Athletic striker Chris Dickson on a three-month loan.
The 24-year-old has not featured for the Addicks this season and had been linked with a second loan stint at Gillingham.
