Trollope expected to 'experiment'
A six-game unbeaten run in February and March had put Rovers in with a shout of gatecrashing the top six, but two defeats in their last three matches has dashed those dreams. Trollope's side are 14th in League One, too far adrift of the play-offs but seemingly safe from relegation. He said: "I am looking at possibilities for the rest of the season, experimenting a little bit in terms of the way we can play and what benefits individuals best. "The game certainly does demand other things than a normal 4-4-2. The standard 4-4-2 formation is still used by some clubs, but the game is evolving, the game is changing. "No longer do many teams play in straight lines, and we need to evolve as a football club."
