Senda targets permanent deal

Danny Senda has revealed he would be delighted to stay at Bristol Rovers if a permanent deal was forthcoming. The 29-year-old right-back signed non-contract terms with the relegation-threatened Pirates last week, made his debut in the vital 1-0 home win over Oldham on Saturday.Senda told Bristol Evening Post: "If there is something here for me, I'd absolutely jump at it. It's a great club, the fans are absolutely fantastic - they were awesome on Saturday - and I'd love to sign here."(Rovers boss) Dave Penney has given me the chance to come here and get my career started again. He's done his homework on me and knows I'm not someone who has just been sitting around. I can understand if one or two fans are a bit sceptical about me, but all I can say to them is: 'Give me a chance'."I've worked incredibly hard to get back. I will continue to work hard to try and help the club out of the situation it's in. To pick up a clean sheet and a win on Saturday was massive."
