    Rovers snare striker Kuffour

    29 Aug 2008 - 12:15:19

Paul Trollope has finally landed long-time target Jo Kuffour after the 26-year-old striker agreed a three-year deal with Bristol Rovers.

The former Arsenal trainee arrives at the Memorial Stadium after finding the net 14 times in 51 appearances for Bournemouth.

"Jo's been on different lists of mine for over two years and he's someone we've closely monitored," first-team coach Trollope told Rovers' official website.

"He's something different, a player we feel will add to the squad, and we hope he has a successful career at Bristol Rovers.

"He can play as a wide man, a striker, and a bit of both, and we believe his versatility will benefit us.

"We're looking forward to working with Jo, he's another piece of the jigsaw we're building, and we're delighted to have him in the building."
