Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope branded the second half of their 1-1 draw with Northampton Town the worst 45 minutes they have played for a long time.
The Pirates moved up just one place to 16th in the League One table following Wednesday's stalemate and afterwards Trollope was in critical mood.
"The second half was the worst 45 minutes I can remember from us in a long time," he claimed.
"There were far too many offsides and stupid free-kicks conceded - we are better than that.
"I don't enjoy giving the lads a rollicking, but it had to be done. We need to win our games in hand to challenge for the play-offs.
"It was always going to be tough after our FA Cup defeat by West Brom, but I thought we started well and that made the second half all the more disappointing."
